SEO Services from wavemonkey...

The first question you may have is 'what is SEO'? To give it it's full name, search engine optimisation can broadly be described as a science which - if correctly implemented - will help push your website up the natural listing of results in web search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN etc for terms which are relevant to the content of your site.

As an example, say you run a company that sells red widgets. However, when you type in the phrase 'red widgets' on Google, your company website is number 5500 out of 110,000 possible results. Not good, is it? Like everyone else, you want to be in the Top 10 - that is, on the *first* page of search results, and this is where search engine optimisation can help.

So how does SEO work?

SEO techniques modify elements of your website that improves their relevancy to the algorithims used by the major search engines. It's important to understand that having a great site written with the customer in mind will be as of much value - if not more - than simply ranking highly in the search engines.

We combine good web design skills with tried and tested search engine optimisation techniques when working on client websites, and can point to a successful track record in pushing sites we have worked on into the Top 10 organic search results on Google, Yahoo, MSN and others, sometimes within as short a space of time as 8 weeks.

How can this work for you?

Recent research shows that 91% of internet users are commonly using search engines to find out the information they need. Following on from that, around 80% of clicks made on Google are from those links that occur in the natural search results, with the remainder going to paid ad listings.

What this shows is that any site which doesn't rank highly in he natural search results is missing out on a huge volume of potential traffic. If you need your site to be effective in generating visitors now and in the future, you need to implement a successful SEO strategy today.
